Jamali - Private Camera/Photos

Terms of Use

Last updated: April 27, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Jamali mobile application ("Jamali," "app," "we," "our," or "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using Jamali, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Eligibility and Account Security

You must be legally permitted to use this app in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for maintaining control of your device and for protecting any password or device authentication method used to access Jamali.

2. What Jamali Does

Jamali is a foreground-only camera utility that allows you to:

Jamali does not claim to record while another app is in front, while the real device lock screen is active, or while the app is no longer running in the foreground.

3. Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for how you use Jamali and for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and platform rules, including laws related to:

You must not use Jamali for any unlawful, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or rights-infringing activity.

4. Media Storage and Export

Captured media is stored locally on your device within Jamali's app storage. Media is not uploaded by Jamali to our servers by default.

If you choose to export or share media, that action is initiated by you through system-provided sharing or export features. Once you export or share media outside Jamali, its handling is governed by the destination app, service, or platform you choose.

Jamali may also use third-party operational service providers for app analytics, diagnostics, and crash reporting, as described in the Privacy Policy. Those services do not change the fact that captured media is intended to remain local unless you explicitly export or share it.

5. Permissions

Jamali may request device permissions only for the features that require them. For example:

If you deny required permissions, some features may not work.

6. Security and Device Protection

Jamali provides app-level access controls such as password protection and optional Face ID gating for the in-app library. These features help limit access within the app, but no software can guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining device-level security, including your device passcode, Apple account security, backups, and physical access to your device.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in product materials or technical documentation, Jamali's "private library" or "vault" language refers to app-level access control and local device storage, not a guarantee of custom end-to-end or military-grade encryption.

7. No Warranty

Jamali is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free performance, or that the app will meet every specific use case or legal requirement in your jurisdiction.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, loss of business, loss of profits, or legal claims arising from your use or misuse of Jamali.

If applicable law does not allow certain limitations, some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

9. Changes to the App or Terms

We may update Jamali and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of Jamali after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to Jamali if required by law, platform policy, or if we reasonably believe the app is being used in violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it.
