Privora: Private AI Browser
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Privora ("Privora," "app," "we," "our," or "us") handles information when you use the app.
1. Summary
Privora is designed as a locked private browser with local vault storage. Privora does not require an account, does not sell personal information, and does not upload your browsing vault data to our servers by default.
2. Information Processed by the App
Depending on how you use Privora, the app may process:
- browser tabs, tab state, page titles, and page URLs
- browsing history, bookmarks, quick access items, and settings
- downloads and related metadata, such as file name, file type, source URL, and saved date
- assistant transcript entries created inside Vault Assistant
- password-related protection data stored for app access control
- device permission states needed to determine whether features can run
3. Where Your Browser Data Is Stored
Privora stores app data locally on your device. As of the current version:
- tabs, history, bookmarks, downloads, quick access, settings, and assistant transcript entries are stored in local app storage
- downloaded files remain inside Privora unless you explicitly preview, share, export, or save supported photos and videos to Photos
- Privora does not provide account sync or cloud recovery
- Privora does not upload your local vault data to a remote Privora server by default
4. Authentication and Vault Protection
Privora may use Face ID, Touch ID, device passcode, or an app passcode fallback to help protect access to the app.
Biometric information itself is handled by Apple's system frameworks. Privora does not receive or store your Face ID or Touch ID biometric template.
If you configure an app passcode, passcode-related protection data is stored using secure local storage. The original passcode is not intended to be stored in plain text by the app.
5. Permissions We Use
Privora may request access to the following device features:
- Face ID: used to unlock the app when enabled and supported by your device
- Photos access: used only when you explicitly choose to save a supported downloaded photo or video to Photos
If you deny a permission, related features may not work correctly.
6. Browsing and Websites
When you visit a website, that website may receive information needed to load the page, such as your IP address, browser request details, cookies set by that website, and files or content you choose to download or submit. Those websites are controlled by their own privacy policies.
Privora is designed to protect access to local app data on your device. It does not make you anonymous to websites, internet service providers, networks, or third-party services you choose to use.
7. Content Shield
Content Shield uses local WebKit content-blocking rules to reduce some ads and tracking resources inside the browser. It does not guarantee every ad, tracker, or unwanted resource will be blocked, and it may occasionally affect website behavior.
8. Vault Assistant
Vault Assistant can summarize readable page text, answer questions about readable page text, and improve search phrasing. When available, it uses Apple's on-device language model. Privora does not send page text to a third-party assistant service as part of normal Vault Assistant operation.
Assistant availability may depend on device capabilities, iOS version, Apple Intelligence settings, language support, and model readiness.
9. Sharing and Export
Privora uses system-provided preview, share, export, and Photos save flows only when you explicitly choose them. Once you export or share content to another app, service, or platform, that third party's privacy practices apply.
10. Analytics and Diagnostics
As of the current version, Privora is not intended to include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Local debug logs may be used during development and troubleshooting, and release builds should not expose private browsing content in diagnostic output.
11. Data Retention
Local app data remains on your device until:
- you delete it using in-app controls
- you clear matching browsing data
- you uninstall the app
- your device or system removes local app data
Some data may also be affected by Apple device backup and restore behavior.
12. Children's Privacy
Privora is not intended for use by children under the age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction without appropriate parental or guardian involvement.
13. Your Choices
You can:
- revoke permissions in iOS Settings
- clear history, cache, cookies, bookmarks, downloads, or other available local app data using in-app controls
- choose whether to export or share downloaded files outside Privora
- uninstall the app to remove app access from your device
If you contact us using the details below, you may also ask questions about Privora's current privacy practices.
14. Data Deletion and Privacy Requests
Most Privora data is stored locally on your device. You can clear available data inside the app, revoke permissions in iOS Settings, or uninstall Privora to remove app data from your device.
